Bunny is an award-winning quilter and artist. A retired labor relations attorney, Andrew is a researcher and historian of the Gullah and Rice cultures of the Sea Islands. They use Bunny's signature Story Quilts to teach visitors how the Gullahs were able to retain African traditions, language and speech patterns on the isolated plantations that dotted the barrier islands and coastal area  from southern North Carolina to northern Florida.

Dedicated folklorists, the couple enjoy sharing their extensive knowledge of Gullah history with the world. Bunny is a mesmerizing storyteller and Andrew’s lectures are like receiving a class in Gullah 101.

They are available to speak at schools, universities, churches, museums and other events.
A fixture at South Carolina’s cultural and historical institutions like the University of South Carolina McKissic Museum in Columbia, S.C., The Penn Center Gullah Studies Institute in St. Helena, S.C., and the Burroughs-Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Bunny is available to do workshops on how to make Gullah quilts, grass dolls and other toys.
